Apleona Provides Hard Services for Jewish Museum Berlin<\/h3>

The Jewish Museum Berlin Foundation has commissioned Apleona to provide hard services for the Jewish Museum Berlin, which comprises several buildings in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg. The service agreement was signed as of January 1, 2023 for two years with the option of two extensions. This was preceded by an EU-wide invitation to tender from which Apleona emerged victorious.<\/p>\n

The agreed services include the operation, maintenance and repair of all technical building systems, as well as energy management with a view to optimizing the energy consumption of the buildings. In addition to high security requirements, operating the ventilation and air-conditioning systems to ensure the constant room temperature and humidity required by the museum represents a particular challenge for Apleona\u2019s facility management team. The agreed service package also includes a 24\/7 on-call service.<\/p>\n

The Jewish Museum Berlin on Lindenstrasse consists of the baroque Collegienhaus building (formerly the seat of the Royal Court of Justice and later the home of the Berlin Museum) and a zigzag-shaped modern building designed by US architect Daniel Libeskind. Across the street from these two buildings is the W. Michael Blumenthal Academy, located on the site of a former wholesale flower market that was also remodeled based on a Libeskind design. The Academy is home to the archive, library, seminar and workshop rooms for museum education, and the ANOHA Children\u2019s World, which opened in June 2021.<\/p>\n

With around 700,000 visitors every year, the Jewish Museum Berlin is one of Germany\u2019s most frequented museums.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>
