Change in the Executive Board of Apleona
As of May 21, 2026, the management board of the Apleona Group will be reorganized. Responsibilities for the individual business areas will be adjusted accordingly.
Christian Kloevekorn will step down from the management board after three successful years as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Apleona Group and will move to Apleona’s Supervisory Board. His area of responsibility for infrastructural facility management in Germany will be taken over by Group COO Michael Engel, in addition to his existing responsibilities for international business and international key accounts.
Accordingly, as of May 21, 2026, the management board of the Apleona Group will consist of: Dr. Jochen Keysberg (CEO), Dr. Georg J. Fronja (CFO), Dr. Pascal Engel (CTO), as well as Dr. Gert W. Riegel (COO for technical and integrated facility and real estate management in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and Michael Engel (COO for international FM business outside the DACH region, for international key accounts, and for infrastructural FM in Germany).
CEO Dr. Jochen Keysberg commented on Mr. Christian Kloevekorn’s transition to the Supervisory Board of Apleona as follows:
“Over the past three years, Mr. Christian Kloevekorn has very successfully integrated the former Gegenbauer units for infrastructural facility management into Apleona and its business model, and together with his teams has made a significant contribution to developing this business area into a key pillar of our integrated business model. The transfer of responsibilities to Michael Engel has been prepared over the long term, ensuring a seamless and smooth transition for customers and employees. He will continue to drive the professionalization and growth of our infrastructural business in Germany.”
